As reported by Flavorwire, Mr Tuschman decided to embark on the ambitious project because of his appreciation of Hopper’s work.
He said: ‘I have always loved the way his paintings, with an economy of means, are able to address the mysteries and complexities of the human condition.’
In his stunning photographs, Mr Tuschman uses his subjects to emulate the vibrant characters in Hopper’s paintings.
Famous scenes from the original paintings, such as a naked woman looking out of a window and a woman sat deep in thought next to a sleeping man on a bed, are re-enacted.

However, although Hopper’s paintings are famed for posing more questions than answers, Mr Tuschman also poses new and interesting mysteries, offering his own unique take on the paintings.
