An Indianapolis man was arrested after, police said, he was seen wandering naked and drunk late Thursday night on the Near Northside.
Police found the 33-year-old man standing naked near 25th Street, just west of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Street. According to an Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department report, Hughes, whose underwear was down to his ankle, refused to put his clothes back on and, instead, “glazed over” at the police officer.
“It looked as though he was looking through me,” Officer Kevin Larussa wrote in his report.
When Larussa asked the man again to put clothes on, he, instead, smiled, laughed and walked away, according to the report.
Another officer watched the man while Larussa retrieved his clothes, which were laying in a nearby church’s parking lot.
The man was preliminarily charged with indecent exposure and public intoxication.
