I’ve been fortunate enough to have had my wallet returned to me on three separate occasions after losing it.
If you’re anything like me, practically your entire life is in your wallet: various forms of identification, insurance, rewards and credit cards, photos, and other sentimental mementos. A wallet is pretty much a mini portable filing cabinet.
To lose your wallet is to lose your mind, at least for a little while. It’s definitely not a fun feeling, especially going through the process of replacing those pieces of plastic that rule your life.
So, to have a kind stranger return it to you sure is a blessing.
However, some people are not as lucky.
